In your first session, we'll discuss the issues that brought you to therapy and your goals. It's also a chance for you to see how we might work together. We understand that initial sessions can be anxiety-provoking, and we'll do our best to make you feel comfortable.
Appointments usually last for 50 minutes. Longer sessions may be offered for some treatments, e.g. EMDR. This can usually be discussed with your therapist, however longer sessions will incur an additional fee.
If you need to cancel an appointment, please let your therapist know as soon as possible. If you cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled session, the full session fee will be charged.
The duration of therapy varies for each individual. Some find resolution in the short-term (6-20 sessions), while others may continue for longer (20+ sessions). During your initial assessment, we'll discuss your preferences and expectations. We'll also conduct regular reviews to ensure everything is progressing well.
Ending therapy is entirely up to you at any stage during your treatment in line with the usual cancellation policy of 48 hours.
